Join us for a fun filled day to explore and find out more about being an archaeologist and some of the ancient parts of our landscape.
Our trainee archaeologists will share their experiences and knowledge with you so you can and find out how you can become an archaeologist at any age and stage of life and what it is really like to do the job.
From 11am – 3pm there will be opportunities for young people and adults to participate in a range of activities including metal detecting, coin rubbing and henge making. These activities will run throughout the day, places available on a first come first served basis.
You can also explore our new, self-guided archaeology trail through the museum. There will also be free worksheets for all age to fill in plus a map to take home of local archaeological/historic sites around Helston.
This event is part of the country wide Festival of Archaeology
Please note children must be supervised at all times
