The museum is run by South Kerrier Heritage Trust on behalf of Cornwall Council who own the building and the collection. We aim to help the Council fulfil their ambition for Cornwall to be the leading rural creative economy. We are supported by the Culture Team who are part of the Council’s Culture, Leisure and Libraries within Neighbourhoods.
A Creative Manifesto which spanned from 2021-25 has guided our work in terms of how we work with communities, are inclusive and sustainable, support creative talent and evolve in the way we work.
The Management Agreement we hold with Cornwall Council is the foundation of the platform that allows the museum to look after the collection and remain free for everyone to visit and explore.
