This last few weeks the museum team has been delighted to be shortlisted for the Cornwall Heritage Awards and Cornwall Tourist Awards. These awards were achieved due to the continued support and efforts by our amazing team.

The Heritage Awards saw us highly commended for the category of ‘Healthy Team’. This was for organisations who look after their workforce of staff and/or volunteers. We were also selected for object of the year. This award celebrated objects that tell previously untold stories or retells a story from a different perspective. The object we shared was the Dancing Girl of Naukratis.

At the Cornwall Tourist Awards we won silver for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year. Our volunteer front of house team always give a lovely warm welcome and this award is a credit to them all. We love welcoming people to the museum and sharing stories of Cornish Life and are delighted to be recognised for all that we do. We have had a very happy week and thank both the award organisers and sponsors.
