Something new for 2022 – Become a Trustee

We are looking to recruit new Trustees to help us shape the future of this successful museum.

We’re an independent and self-sufficient educational charity that relies on grants and earned revenue, primarily from donations and shop sales, to sustain operations and ensure people from all backgrounds can benefit from the Museum of Cornish Life. Find out more about our the South Kerrier Heritage Trust here

The Board of Trustee normally meets on the last Tuesday of the month for approximately 1 hour. We are currently meeting on Zoom but intend to start meeting in person as the year progresses. We are however open to trustees attending remotely. Over the next two years several of our Trustees will be stepping down as they come to the end of their terms. We are looking for new Trustees who can bring some of the skills we will be loosing in particular in terms of finance and legal understanding. The Museum of Cornish Life strives to create a welcoming environment where we champion the everyday. We recognise that openness is crucial to our success and would also strongly encourage applicants from all parts of our communities.

We support all new Trustees in starting in the role and aspire to be as inclusive as possible. If you have any questions or would like an informal chat to find out more please contact Annette MacTavish the Museum Director on 01326 564027 or email
