Here are some of our TripAdvisor comments:

“Fabulous Look Back at History!

Had time to spare so thought would take a look and so glad I did. Such a lot of the items I could remember as a child and wonderful memories came flooding back. Other visitors too had tales to tell of their childhood. Chairs were around for people to be able to sit on and take a rest which was much welcomed. Don’t miss this on your visit to Helston. All free too”

“Lovingly curated- absolutely charming

Two floors absolutely stuffed with wonderful artifacts and interesting historical displays, a Victorian school room, lots to see and do including hands-on activities for younger children. The museum also hosts fêtes and fayres, talks and workshops, all worth a visit. My favourite place in Helston.”

“Cornish Treasure

Located conveniently in the centre of town and based in the historic Market House, the free to enter museum showcases Helston’s history with numerous exhibits of how families lived and worked in days gone by. Staff were helpful and informative and we were also lucky enough to catch the last day of an exhibition focusing on environmental issues”

“Fantastic, totally brilliant…

We went today and that was not enough, we are definitely going to have to come back here even if it’s just to visit the museum! It was so interesting & the people that volunteer were so helpful and friendly. Seriously if you are passing pop in, it’s free they just ask for donations.. I’m sure this is the best museum I’ve been in ever!!!!”
